Many Australian Business owners make the 1st mistake with online marketing: Simply not having a web presence at all! As simple as this sounds, there are still many business owners without an Internet marketing presence. Even though we are now well and truly in the 21st century, many business owners have still not put online systems in place and are yet to get their businesses going with Internet marketing.

The cost of not being online is tremendous. With modern technology, business owners can truly improve their profits with some simple steps that include Internet marketing.

So what is Internet marketing? Simply put, it is another way to communicate with your customers and clients using the Internet. If your web site is set up correctly, it can become a 24 hours sales and lead generation machine for most business owners.

When you consider the high cost of traditional advertising for business owners, Internet marketing can be done for a fraction of the cost of other methods. Also, the ability to track your advertising results in real time can also be another benefit of Internet marketing to most business owners.

I truly believe that as bad as some sites are, they are better than no site at all. Business owners must be proactive in their marketing, and Internet marketing must be in the mix of multiple steams of marketing that is to be deployed by traditional business.
